Wildland firefighters operate daily in a high-risk environment. The interaction of fuel, weather, and terrain often combine to create sometimes seemingly unpredictable fire behavior conditions that threaten to entrap or overrun firefighters. Procedures for investigating wildland fire entrapments and the required reports are presented in this article.
